What is Ethical Eating Day?

Ethical Eating Day is an event where hundreds of thousands of people all around the world pledge to eat a vegetarian diet and locally produced food. Curious why? Well, we’re all aware of the fact that cars and factories contribute to climate change. But did you know the primary contributor to climate change is animal agriculture? The amount greenhouse gas emitted into the atmosphere just to put a burger on your table is equivalent to driving 24/7 for 3 weeks! It’s mind-boggling to think that something as simple as eating meat would lead to the rise record-breaking natural disasters, but facts are facts, wether we believe it or now.¬†Join us and other similar environmentally-conscious-individuals and pledge to go vegetarian for a day.

Why Participate in Ethical Eating Day?

As you’ve already know for the reasons above about why and how eating meat has serious detrimental effects on our environment. We’re also vegetarians because of its never-ending health benefits. For example, a vegetarian is:¬†

  • Usually healthier due to lower cholestrol
  • Less likely to develop cataracts
  • Less likely to develop kidney stones
  • Less likely to develop cardiovascular disease
